Som

Som is eight years old and, although she was very quiet and shy when she first arrived on 27th December 2009; with her older sister Nu; she is blossoming into quite a character, all smiles and grins.

She loves to copy anything I say and also comes to tell me all sorts of things, oblivious to the fact that I can rarely understand her, especially as she uses her local Thai dialect.

She seems happy at her new school and is trying hard to catch up on her Thai language reading and writing skills.

Update;Som has shown herself to be a very versatile child. With the garden projects she works as hard as the older boys; with dance she leaps about to pop music and then concentrates hard on the slower intricate moves of Thai traditional music; she has shown signs of an emerging sculptress; a bubbling happy soul:)
