firstfence2000Things are moving forward a pace as the playground fence starts to take shape and we await our first scheduled placements arrival around  November 1.

Today we had a show of local support for the project when a work crew came to fit our wall fans stating that they simply wanted feeding and a little towards petrol for their trouble. As you can imagine this was a great boost to our morale as we are obviously keen to have the local community behind us and supporting the Childrens Home.

fans3We do have our first scheduled placement due to start on November the first after learning of the predicament of one of the pupils at the school at which I teach, when teachers informed us of his difficult circumstances.

After some difficulties in finding his present location we did finally make contact and, after a careful assessment of his circumstances were happy to offer him a placement.

This meeting also led on to discussion about two other cases of children who may be in need of help and we hope to arrange a meeting soon to assess their needs also.
